Startups and Tech has been changing the world quickly and dramatically. Smart phone has come up about 10 years back and it’s become the device almost all of us have in our hands and we may be not able to live without it. How about the Internet?
After awareness of COVID-19 pandemic, major cities have been locked down and many of us go remote work and online for almost everything, with #stayhome. This situation may change everything how we live, work and communicate. It’s realized by technologies and startups that has implemented those technologies to the real world.
We will have the inspiring discussion about the future and the roles of tech and startups even after COVID-19 crisis with Gerrit Jan who has been leading startup scene through BorderSessions and World Startup Factory and Taizo Son who has been also leading tech startup scene in Japan and now leading his own startup platform “Mistletoe.”
What kind of the future will show up before us after COVID-19 is settled down?

スタートアップやテクノロジーは、私たちの世界を急速に、劇的に変えてきました。スマートフォンは10年ほど前に登場し、ほとんどの人の手にあります。すでにスマートフォンなしでの生活は不可能かもしれません。インターネットもそうでした。
新型コロナウィルス感染症の発生のあと、多くの主要都市は封鎖され、わたしたちの多くはリモートワークに移行したり、何をするにもオンラインということになってきました。#stayhomeの合言葉とともに。この状況は、生き方、働き方、コミュニケーションの仕方、全てを変えてしまうかもしれません。こうした環境は、実はテクノロジーやそれを現実世界へと実装するスタートアップの取り組みによって実現しています。
このセッションでは、テクノロジーやスタートアップの未来や、その役割について議論します。Gerrit Janは、BorderSessionsやWorld Startup Factoryなどの取り組みを通して、孫さんは様々なスタートアップに携わり、現在はMistletoe（ミスルトウ）というプラットフォームにてスタートアップシーンを牽引してきました。
さて、コロナが収束したあと、どんな未来が私たちを待ち受けているのでしょうか？

Gerrit Jan van 't Veen is founder and CEO of WorldStartup and founder and director at Border Sessions. WorldStartup is a Global Entrepreneurship Platform for impact startups and scaleups. Qlickchain, Hugreen, Clensta and Paztir are some of the many startups that the platform is supporting around the world.
Border Sessions is a Tech Culture festival. Started in The Hague, The Netherlands.
山寺 純 Jun Yamadera
Jun Yamadera founded Eyes, JAPAN co. ltd. in 1995, the first IT startup from the University of Aizu, Fukushima. His team won the the championship in Developers Challenge 2013 Health 2.0 in Silicon Valley. He is a TEDxKobe 2015 Speaker. He started a project called “FUKUSHIMA Wheel” in the aftermath of the terrible disaster caused by the earthquake and nuclear accident in Fukushima, JAPAN in March 11, 2011. More than 24 years experience in Cutting Edge Technologies such as AI, Blockchain and Cyber Security.
